The obvious use for TacWedge is to for door jamming.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a door.  If the door opens towards you, you can use TacWedge on it.  Simply slip the front of the wedge under the door and forcefully push it forward.

I received a TacWedge and a trainer from the TacWedge folks and I've been looking forward to writing this.   This is a very cool tool.  The difference between the operational tool and the trainer is that the trainer is devoid of the anchoring spikes.  Benefit of the trainer is that it lacks the hardened steel spikes that can gouge concrete and wood.

The obvious use for TacWedge is to for door jamming.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a door.  If the door opens towards you, you can use TacWedge on it.  Simply slip the front of the wedge under the door and forcefully push it forward.  As the TacWedge goes further under the door, it's pushes the entire body down which results in the middle spikes dropping down and effectively into the floor.  Note how the angle of the spikes will dig in and down if any force is applied against it.  As you might have guessed at this point, if you've applied it correctly, this is a 1 use item.  To remove the wedge, you have to destroy it.  Don't get any bright ideas about testing out an operational wedge on one of your doors.  The spikes WILL at minimum, leave marks on your floor.

Pretty effective tool for the price, right?  Well, this does more.  It can be used to prop a door open.  Just turn the TacWedge sideways and drop it on a hinge into the side notch.
